• Email address — collected when you join the waitlist, used solely to notify you about Merit’s launch and updates.
• Location data — used on-device to verify your physical presence at a chosen location. Location data is processed locally and is not sent to our servers.
• App usage data — Merit interacts with iOS Screen Time APIs to manage app restrictions. We do not collect or store information about which apps you use or how often you use them.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Merit service
• To send you launch updates and product announcements (waitlist only)
• To improve and optimize our app experience

Data Storage & Security

Your location data stays on your device. Waitlist email addresses are stored securely and are never sold or shared with third parties. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

Third-Party Services

Merit uses Apple’s Screen Time (FamilyControls) framework. Your app restriction data is managed entirely by iOS and is not accessible to us. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. If you joined the waitlist, you can unsubscribe from any email we send.

We may update this policy as Merit evolves. We’ll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
